As the snow has melted and the plants wake up we're excited for some upcoming events this spring!

Some members of our club and their families will be at the Rotary Afternoon Providence Bruins game in Providence on March 24th. Discounted tickets are availble for anyone to purchase with $5 going to helping to cure Polio worldwide. If you're interested in purchasing tickets visit this page.

Our Scituate Farmer's Market opens May 11th, 2024 and the theme of our first market is healthy living. We hope to see everyone there to kick things off and maybe learn some new tools, techniques, and options for improving your mind and body.

The Scituate town-wide Earth Day Cleanup will be held April 20th from 9AM-12PM. For details on the event see this page.

We'll also be preparing and planting our Community Garden with the produce we harvest going to local food banks throughout the summary and fall.

We also will be having a regular contest with prizes. We'll be releasing details in the next few weeks about where and how to participate!

As always check out the upcoming events on our calendar. We'd love to have you come to any of our events and learn more about our club. See our Calendar section for our upcoming events and locations.

The Scituate Rotary Club celebrated another successful year managing the Scituate Rotary Farmers Market.

The Scituate Rotary Farmers Market won Best of RI Monthly Magazine for Best Farmers Market in the Statewide Category.  We were also excited to be given the title of Best State Farmers Market in RI by American Farmland Trust (AFT).  Club members brought our commitment to service to the market. We hosted two e-waste collection events, a clothing drive, a shelter box display, a pet adoption event, and backpack collection drive. The farmer's market has been a wonderful outlet to meet members of our community and to support local groups in our community.  We were excited to share our space with the Scituate Sustainability Committe who provide information about recycling, the Gentian Garden Club, Boys and Girls Club, the State Police, the Alzheimer's Association, and several local rescues.  We love that the farmers market is a place where our community has come together.

The Scituate Rotary Garden: Weekly donations to the community food bank have helped provide fresh produce throughout the season. With help from a grant from our district, members and friends of Rotary built additional garden beds this year. Over 200 pounds of produce has been harvested. Fall produce continues to mature with mother nature's blessings.

Speaking of Fall, members of the Art Festival committee have been busy getting ready for our biggest fundraiser of the year. Hours have been spent improving operations for two food booths.  We will be working all three days serving doughboys, chicken nuggets, and chowder.  Please reach out if you can help volunteer. Stop by and support us October 7,8 and 9.
